Helpful Tips:

  • Types: There are 2 types of tubing experiences on the Guadalupe River – “chute” tubing and “float” tubing. Chute tubing involves navigating through rapids and drops in the river, while float tubing is a more leisurely experience.
  • Safety: Wear shoes with good traction. Check weather conditions and water levels. Stay hydrated and use sunscreen. Hats are recommended. Secure your glasses. Secure phone and keys in a floating, waterproof container attached to your person or tube.
  • Alcohol: Drinking alcohol is allowed on the rivers, but there are restrictions on the amount and type of beverages. Glass containers and kegs are not allowed, and there are restrictions on the alcohol content of beverages. Drink responsibly. The river is monitored by law enforcement.
  • Etiquette: Always help others if they flip out of their tube and are struggling to resurface. NEVER LITTER- Put your empty drink cans/containers back into your ice chest or drawstring trash bag.
  • Don’t forget you need a tube for your ice chest!
